Curly’s Meats earns top honors

WEST LIBERTY – Curly’s Meats of Jackson Center competed in the Ohio Association of Meat Processors product competition in Columbus Feb. 26-27 during the annual convention and earned first place with its smoked ham and reserve grand champion in the beef jerky class. The business also competed well with its beef snack sticks, bologna, smoked sausage, bratwurst and summer sausage.

Owned by Larry Edwards of West Liberty, Curly’s supplies meats to many retail outlets, including some in Logan and Champaign County, and processes beef and pork for clients in those areas.

Amanda Cole of Huntsville received a scholarship from the Ohio Association of Meat Processors. A Curly’s Meats employee, she attends Ohio State University.
