Spring bird migration discussion: 10 a.m., Cedar Bog, 980 Woodburn Road. Discussion and off-the-boardwalk tour with BlackSwamp Bird Observatory Research Director Mark Shieldcastle. SUNDAY, MARCH 13

Kiser Lake Wetlands State Nature Preserve: 2-3 p.m. Meet at headwaters of lake at 3975 Kiser Lake Road, St. Paris. Skunk Cabbage is Ohio’s first true wildflower of the year. On the hike, history of the region and importance of wetlands will be discussed.

County Historical Society program: former sheriff Roger Stillings will discuss the 1967 plane collision over the county that killed 26 people at a 2 p.m. program in the meeting room of the society’s museum, 809 East Lawn Ave. The program is free and open to the public.

MONDAY, MARCH 14

Tax-Aide program: Supported by IRS and AARP Foundation, local trained volunteers prepare income tax returns for free 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Mondays, through April 11, at St. Paris Public Library. Appointments only: 937-663-4349.
