Makenzy Lee Karnehm of Urbana, daughter of Kevin and Kelly Karnehm of Urbana, and Joseph Anthony Zarlengo of Petersburg, AK, son of Dan and Kristen Zarlengo of Petersburg, AK, announce their engagement.
The bride-elect is a 2011 graduate of Urbana High School and a senior at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. She will graduate in 2018 with a degree in Marine and Environmental Science, then serve as an Ensign in the USCG.
Her fiance is a 2012 graduate of Petersburg High School and a 2017 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2017 and is an Ensign with the USCG, stationed in Sturgeon Bay, WI.
