Fred and Kay Beery of Urbana are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on October 27. They were married on that date in 1970 at Third Lutheran Church in Springfield.

They have two children: Stephanie (Bob) Herbert of Lewis Center and Michael (Lisa) Beery of Huntersville, North Carolina. They also have four grandchildren.
