Merryl (Bud) and Ruth Runyan of Urbana celebrated their 60th anniversary on Dec. 21. They were married on that date in 1955.
They are the parents of Mark (Linda) and Melissa (Bob) Vervinck. They have six grandchildren.
Mr. Runyan taught Vo Ag at West Liberty-Salem High School for 14 years. He then continued his teaching career at Urbana High School for 16 years, then retired in 1988. The couple remain active in their farming and hog operation at Oakview Farms Meats and with the Champaign County Pork Barn.
