Jim and Barb Chess of Urbana celebrated their 50th anniversary Aug. 13. They were married on that date in 1966 by the Revs. J. Wesley Sherrill and Lester Meyer.
They are the parents of three children, Kendra (Kurt) McClung, Kyle (Kristy) Chess and Lorena (Chris) Campbell, and special friend Stacy Miller. They have five grandchildren.
Mr. Chess is retired from Urbana Friends Church, and Mrs. Chess is retired from Clark County DD.
The couple celebrated with a party at the Senior Center, the building that once housed the Urbana Nazarene Church, where they were married.
