Champaign County veterans are invited to join in for coffee and donuts on Saturday, June 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at VFW Post 5451, 220 E. Court Street in Urbana.

The Champaign County Veteran Service Commission along with the VFW Post 5451 will be hosting a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs PACT Act Information Session.

Scott A. Page, U.S. Army Retired, Veteran Outreach Program Specialist (VOPS) will be on hand to discuss the new VA PACT program, other general VA topics and answer questions and concerns.

The PACT Act (Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics) is a new law that expands VA health care and benefits for veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances. The PACT Act adds to the list of health conditions that are presumed to be caused by exposure to these substances.
