BEAVERCREEK – Graham and Urbana both qualified for next week’s Division II state girls bowling tournament by placing in the top four at the district tourney.
The Falcons were third with a 3,384 and the Hillclimbers were fourth with a 3,308. Versailles won the district with a 3,664 and Indian Lake was second with a 3,398.
For the Falcons, Kailey Dowty was third overall with a 590, Mackenzie Clark rolled a 498 and Gracie Astry a 458.
For the Hillclimbers, Jazmyn Scott was eighth overall with a 540, Riley Smith had a 450 and Maya Stokes a 379.
Dowty and Scott were both named to the all-district team.
The Graham boys team placed second at the district to qualify for next week’s Division II state tournament.
The Falcons had a 3,956 while Riverside won the district with a 4,030.
Urbana placed ninth with a 3,765 and did not advance.
For Graham, Spencer Hannahs was second overall with a 635, Tristan Maxwell was fourth with a 622 and Peyton Schweirking had a 578.
Hannahs and Maxwell were both named to the all-district team.
The Division II state tournament will be held March 3-4 at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl.
