Tigers, Falcons win in boys basketball

NORTH LEWISBURG – Matthew Jones scored a team-high 18 points as West Liberty-Salem rallied to beat Triad, 59-49, in OHC boys basketball Friday night.

Triad led, 44-42, after three quarters.

For the Tigers (11-9, 9-6), Brevin Louden had 11 points, Taran Logwood had 11 and Carson Poppe added 10.

For the Cardinals (5-15, 4-11), Tyler Perry had 22 points.

WL-S won the jayvee game, 52-39. For the Tigers, JJ Johnson had 19 points and Owen Deere added 10.

WL-S won the 9th grade game, 52-8. For the Tigers, Dylan King had 15 points and Garrett Wallen added 13.

Triad plays at Shekinah Christian on Thursday and WL-S hosts Northeastern on Friday.

Graham goes 1-1

BELLEFONTAINE – Graham beat winless Ben Logan, 44-34, in CBC/MRD boys basketball Friday night.

The Falcons led, 21-16, at the half.

On Saturday, visiting Graham lost to Dayton Carroll, 51-23, in non-league action.

The Falcons trailed, 25-14, at the half.

Graham (9-12, 7-2) plays at Urbana Friday night.

UHS loses

Visiting Indian Lake held off Urbana, 51-47, in CBC/MRD boys basketball Friday night.

The Lakers (11-9, 8-1) led, 32-20, at the half, but UHS had a chance to tie or win the game in the final seconds.

For Urbana (13-6, 7-2), Will Donahoe had 17 points and Rayvon Rogan added 12.

The Hillclimbers host Dayton Dunbar tonight.

Indians fall

SPRINGFIELD – Northeastern upended Mechanicsburg, 58-47, in OHC boys basketball Friday night.

The Jets led, 27-23, at the half.

For Mechanicsburg (0-20, 0-15), Conner Eyink had 12 points and Brennin Eyink added 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The Indians host West Jefferson tonight.
