The Urbana University football team is gearing up for Saturday’s game at Shepherd University against the undefeated and second-ranked Rams (6-0).

Kickoff for the Mountain East Conference contest is scheduled for noon at Ram Stadium in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

The Blue Knights (3-4) are 0-4 all-time against the Rams, who were nationally ranked in the past three matchups.

Last season, then-ranked No. 5 Shepherd won 38-14 at UU Stadium.

The closest game in the series happened in 2013, the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron, when Shepherd pulled out a seven-point win, 28-21.

UU starting quarterback Tajuan Green (1,263 yards, 16 total TD) returns to the lineup after sitting out last week due to injury. He will make his second career start against Shepherd.

He tossed three touchdowns against the Rams the last time UU made the trip to Shepherdstown. Green and the UU offense are looking to get back on track after scoring a season-low seven points in a 45-7 setback against Notre Dame College last Saturday

On the road this season, UU is averaging 30 points and 175 rushing yards per game. The Blue Knights twice ran for over 200 yards, including Week 1 at West Liberty and at Week 4 at West Virginia Wesleyan. Running back Maurice Warren Jr. already has the most net rushing yards (555) for UU since 2013.

Last week, the Rams used a fourth-quarter rally to pick up a 28-23 road win against Fairmont State.

SU quarterback Connor Jessop (2,009 yards, 25 total TD) was intercepted twice, but extended his streak of at least three touchdown passes in a game to six.

The Rams are scoring 47 points per game while averaging 543 total yards on offense. SU has lost only three home games since 2011 (38-3).
