PAWS Animal Shelter (cat)

I’m Piper, the kitty. I’m just a beautiful girl with a snaggle tooth, and that makes me unique but it sure doesn’t affect my eating. I’ve had a litter of babies and raised them to go be with their forever family. Now it’s my turn! I’m a cuddler and love attention. I would love to live with you and give you all my love.

Stop by Paws Animal Shelter, 1535 W. U.S. Route 36, Urbana, Ohio 43078, or call Paws Animal Shelter at 937-653-6233. The Shelter hours are Tuesday-Friday 12-5 p.m., Saturday 12-4 p.m., Sunday and Monday-closed. You can email us at [email protected]. Visit us at www.facebook.com/paws.urbana.

PAWS Animal Shelter (dog)

I’m Toby and I have been here for a while. I came in with some health problems and a great attitude. I am on meds for my achy hip and it is sooooo much better, but, ya know, there are no meds for my “Achy Breaky Heart.” Only you could cure that! I am a really good guy, only 7 years old, who doesn’t need much activity, just a lap or a soft bed. I like to play and take walks, not long ones though.

I’m a Beagle/Bassett mix and I like the other furkids, all the humans and kids who aren’t rough with me and respect my age. Please stop by PAWS in Urbana and meet me. I’ll be here waiting. Sure hope YOU will be the one who can mend my Achy Breaky Heart.

Champaign County Animal Welfare League

Cuteness Alert! This public service message is being brought to you by the folks at the Champaign County Animal Welfare League (CCAWL). Bullet is a one-year old Jack Russell/Shih-Tzu mix. Before reading any further, please be aware of the danger of falling uncontrollably in love.

Bullet is 9 pounds of energy and boundless love. He would make a great 4-H project for a youngster willing to work with him. Bullet is house-trained, loves children and is indifferent to cats.

Bullet, as with all CCAWL pets, has been neutered, heart-worm tested, fully vaccinated including rabies, wormed, treated with heart-worm prevention and flea prevention. He has been micro-chipped and comes with his 2017 dog license. Bullet is very social and wants to interact with adults and children. He would be a great addition to an active family.

To adopt, you must have an approved application. Our adoption fee is $150 which covers the cost of neutering and vaccinations. Applications may be found on our website, www.champaigncoanimalwelfare.com or you may fill one out at our facility.

If you dare, you may visit Bullet or any of our other pets at 3858 state Route 56, Mechanicsburg. We are closed every Tuesday and Sunday. We are closed this Saturday (August 5) for training. Our hours are varied, so please call us at 937-834-5236 for exact times.

We are always appreciative of your donations of bleach, paper towels and laundry soap and please watch for our announcement of the opening of our new facility.

Barely Used Pets

We are Bonnie and Clyde. We are 18-month-old Boxer Husky mix kids. Pssst…I am Bonnie and I have one blue eye. We are house trained, have all of our shots, heartworm free, spayed and neutered. We weigh around 60 lbs., walk well on a leash and we are good around everything. We also know a few commands. Our people were so sad to have to surrender us when they moved. Dad got transferred to Florida for his job. They thought they had another month to find a place that would let them keep us but he got the call, you gotta be here Monday and it was Friday. So they brought us to Barely Used Pets. We are a couple of the most well behaved dogs you have ever seen! They say we are two super nice dogs. They are trying to keep us together as we are siblings. Won’t you please come and see us and we can spend some time on the playground together? We just need a chance to get our feet back under us with a new forever family. Please won’t you open your heart and your home for us?

Please visit our website: www.barelyusedpets.com. Also, like us on Facebook at Barely Used Pets Rescue (put spaces between the words). Barely Used Pets is located at 844 Jackson Hill Road in Urbana, Ohio. You can give us a call at 937-869-8090. Our regular hours are: Open Sunday 1-4pm, Wednesday and Thursdays 11am-6pm, Fridays 11am-5pm and Saturday 11am-2pm. We are CLOSED on Monday and Tuesday. We can always use donations and they are all of those basic supplies that we use so quickly. We are in real need of lots and lots of paper towels! If you can bring us some we would surely appreciate it. Bonnie and Clyde say…”Thanks so much for considering us and helping Barely Used Pets help all of us little ones find our forever homes! OK…so what are you waiting for? Let’s go home!”
