DeGRAFF – Relay For Life, the American Cancer Society and Shady Bowl Speedway have teamed up to bring a full program of racing to Shady Bowl Speedway this Saturday.
The disease affects people everywhere in all walks of life. John Stroble of Urbana , who competes in the late model class, and his family have presevered as John’s wife Cheryl is now in remission. In addition, John’s car bears the name of 11-year-old Caden Beau.
Beau, of Tiffin, is now also in remission after spending several years in St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
The VORES front wheel drive cars will be featured as part of the night’s racing action. Thirty two drivers have filed entries. Terry Eaton Jr. of DeGraff won last year’s event and is expected to defend his win. The Late Models, Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and Spectator Drag cars will also be racing.
Racing will start at 7 p.m.
