The West Liberty Fire Department is investigating the cause of a camper fire that occurred on McClain Road in Champaign County. Fire Chief Conrad Hostetler said the department responded to 7971 McClain Road at 9:17 a.m. Wednesday and found the camper vehicle on fire. No injuries were reported.

Hostetler said the camper was a total loss and estimated the fire caused around $8,000 in damage. The property is owned by Joel W. Krabill, according to the Champaign County auditor’s website.
