Purk to give bluegrass program at library

MECHANICSBURG – Local musician and entertainer Bill Purk will present a program on bluegrass music for the Mechanicsburg Public Library 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, in the library meeting room.

Purk will discuss and demonstrate this American “roots” form of music, which is influenced by the Appalachian style. He will play the traditional acoustic instruments for bluegrass.

Combining storytelling, humor, good-hearted dialogue and enjoyable music, he will engage all ages.

The program is sponsored by the Mechanicsburg Public Library, with refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library. Everyone is welcome, and no reservations are needed.
