West Central presents seminar on enabling

MARYSVILLE – The Family Department of the West Central Community Correctional Facility will present its next in a series of programs aimed at people coping with or working with those who are substance dependent. “The Dangers of Enabling: How to Stop” will be held 6:30-8 p.m. on Monday, May 23, in the Male Visitation room at the facility, located at 18200 N. state Route 4, Marysville.

This program will explain enabling, give examples of enabling, explain the difference between helping and enabling, describe the family roles in a family affected by substance dependency, and discuss how to stop enabling.

This program is free and open to the public. Those interested in attending are asked to call 937-644-2838. Peoples who have loved ones involved in addiction, those who wish to know more about the disease of addiction, and professionals who work with this population are encouraged to attend. Due to security, this program is limited to adults only.
