Alicia Schneider browses the expansive assortment of books available Friday at the Champaign County Library spring book sale. The sale continues at the Scioto St. location today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Every spring and fall, the Friends of the Library holds a sale of discarded books from the library as well as book donations people bring in the week leading up to the book sale. Thousands of books are available covering all interests, ranging from hardback nonfiction, fiction, paperbacks, cookbooks, music CDs, DVDs, and much more. The Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds to assist the Champaign County Library in purchasing children’s books and supporting children’s programs such as the summer reading program and baby, toddler and preschool story times.
