Graham, M’burg claim district titles

WILMINGTON – Graham won the Division II district wrestling tournament at Wilmington on Saturday, finishing with 329 points.

Graham crowned several champions, including Jordan Crace (106 pounds), Justin Stickley (120), Mitch Moore (126), Brent Moore (138), Rocky Jordan (145), Garrett Jordan (160), Alex Marinelli (170) and Johnny Shafer (220).

Also advancing to state were Jeffrey Thomas (2nd, 113), Ryan Thomas (2nd, 132), Kavan Sarver (2nd, 195), Joey Sanchez (3rd, 152) and Gage Braun (3rd, 182).

Urbana’s Jack Harris won the district title at 195 pounds.

Also placing for Urbana were Jaylin Cameron (6th, 120) and Braeden Lehman (6th, 145).

Indians take D-III title

TROY – Mechanicsburg won the Division III district wrestling tournament at Troy on Saturday, finishing with 192.5 points.

The Indians claimed a handful of class titles, with Nick Miller (132), Tanner Smith (138) and Kaleb Romero (160) winning championships. Triad’s Jacob Thompson (170) won a title to join the trio of M’burg champions at state.

Also going to state are Mechanicsburg’s Wade Smiddy (2nd, 145), Dylan Hartley (2nd, 220), Tyler Wetzel (3rd, 113), Alex Rhine (3rd, 120) and Corey Bogan (4th, 152).

Also placing was Dustin Knapp (6th, 170).
