SPRINGFIELD – The 2nd annual Backyard Vegetable Gardening Workshop will have something for novices and experienced gardeners 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at Springfield High School, 701 E. Home Road, Springfield. Topics include pests & diseases, year-round vegetable harvests, intensive intercropping and drip irrigation.

Deadline for registration is March 14; preregistration is required. The cost is $30 per person. The price includes lunch catered by Season’s Bistro.
