Triad boys knock off Northeastern, 63-55

SPRINGFIELD – Triad defeated Northeastern, 63-55, in OHC boys basketball on Tuesday.

Hadley LeVan scored 19 points, Colby Watson had 17 and Ryan Boyd added 14 for the Cardinals (11-5, 5-4).

Triad led 35-20 at halftime and held off a fourth-quarter Jets’ charge to win.

LeVan was 7-of-10 at the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Triad plays at Mechanicsburg on Friday.

Indians fall to SE

SOUTH CHARLESTON – Southeastern beat Mechanicsburg, 60-35, in OHC boys basketball on Tuesday.

The Indians (4-10, 2-8) trailed, 39-16, at the half.

For Mechanicsburg, Joey Butsch had 9 points.

SE won the jayvee game, 72-37. Joey Mascadri had 15 points for the Indians.

Graham loses to KR

SPRINGFIELD – Kenton Ridge topped Graham, 76-56, Tuesday night in CBC boys basketball.

The Falcons are now 4-12, 2-5.

Junior high basketball

The Graham 7th grade girls beat Greenon, 16-14. Lexi King had 9 points for Graham.

The Urbana 7th grade boys lost to Shawnee, 46-14.

The Urbana 8th graders won, 60-28. For Urbana (11-4), Grant Hower and Isaiah Fonseca each had 12 points.

The Triad 7th grade boys lost to Greeneview, 33-24. Drew Campbell had 6 points for the Cardinals.

The Triad 8th graders lost, 30-24. Jordan Simonelli had 7 points and Jacob Simonelli had 6 for the Cardinals.

The WL-S 8th grade boys defeated Mechanicsburg, 43-23. The Tigers (13-2) were led by Ethan Cole with 15 points and Eli McGill with 11.

The WL-S 7th graders won, 39-24. Tanner Le Van paced the Tigers with 12 points while Nick Burden added 10.
