Hillclimber boys knock off Greenon, 72-21

Urbana beat visiting Greenon, 72-21, on Friday in CBC/MRD boys basketball.

For the Hillclimbers (7-4, 5-0), Jordan Underwood and Levi Boettcher each had 16 points, Sam Niswonger had 11 and Cameron Logwood added 10.

UHS won the jayvee game, 53-45. Dakota Hower had 19 points and Reid Taylor added 16 for Urbana.

The Hillclimbers won the 9th grade game led by Ethan Burnside’s 26 points.

UHS plays at Alter on Tuesday.

Triad beats Central

NORTH LEWISBURG – Triad defeated Springfield Catholic Central, 58-43, Friday night in OHC boys basketball.

For the Cardinals (8-2, 3-2), Ryan Boyd, Hadley LeVan and Alec Ober each had 10 points and Colby Watson and Thomas O’Neal each had 9.

Triad plays at Cedarville on Tuesday.

Graham boys fall

INDIAN LAKE – Graham fell to Indian Lake, 60-50, Friday night in CBC/MRD boys basketball.

The Falcons led, 16-13, at the end of the first quarter but trailed, 29-26, at halftime.

Indian Lake (5-5, 3-2) led, 46-41, after three periods.

For Graham (4-8, 2-3), Andrew Ford had 14 points.

Graham won the jayvee game, 47-24, with Brevin King scoring 10 points to lead the Falcons.

Graham hosts Urbana on Thursday.

Junior high basketball

The WL-S 7th grade girls improved to 10-2 with a 20-17 win at Cedarville. Selena Weaver had 7 points and 9 rebounds for the Tigers.

The 8th graders won, 31-22. Camrin Rice had 10 points and Alex Burton had 9 for the Tigers (8-4).

Makenzie Cauley had 9 points for Triad’s girls team in Thursday night’s game versus Greeneview.
