The sixth annual Liberty Half Marathon sponsored by the Hi Point Harriers and Reliant Mechanical, Inc. was held New Year’s Day. The race starts in West Liberty and ends in East Liberty.
Terry Stolly of Bellefontaine was the overall champion, covering the course in 1:23.08. This is Stolly’s third race win. On the women’s side, Beth Melton took home first place in 1:37.26.
Rounding out the top five finishers for the men were 2nd place Travis Glendenning 1:26.52, 3rd Ethan Hoening 1:27.23, 4th Jared Hites 1:33.12, 5th Earl Zilles 1:35.53
For the women Katherine Williams was 2nd in 1:43.23, 3rd Kristen Huener 1:43.45, 4th Crystal Barton 1:44.44 and 5th Emily Norton 1:49.23.
