Lily Yoder scored a game-high 31 points as visiting West Liberty-Salem defeated Urbana, 53-36, in non-league girls basketball on Tuesday.
The Hillclimbers led, 18-12, at the end of the first quarter, but the Tigers rallied to take a 30-18 lead at the half.
WL-S owned a 42-27 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
For the Tigers (6-1), Jamie Peterson had 15 rebounds.
For UHS (3-5), Hunter Rogan had 19 points and 14 rebounds and Katy Curnutte added 10 points.
WL-S won the jayvee game, 31-5. Mya King had 10 points for the Tigers.
Junior high basketball
The WL-S 7th grade girls improved to 7-0 after a 38-2 win over South Vienna. Sophie Cole led all scorers with 10 points and Selena Weaver controlled the boards with 12 rebounds and 8 points.
The WL-S 8th graders won, 28-12. For the Tigers (6-1), Savannah Weaver pulled down 7 rebounds and had 5 points and Alex Burton had 9 points and 5 rebounds.
