Buckeyes showed they are one of the best teams

Ohio State has only a slim chance of making it into the College Football Playoff, but the Buckeyes left little doubt last Saturday at Michigan that they are one of the four best teams in the nation.

OSU totally dominated the Wolverines in the 42-13 win and the Buckeyes played one of their best offensive games of the season.

It made what happened the week before even more difficult to understand … how could Ohio State have looked so bad in a 17-14 home loss to Michigan State?

To me, it came down to one thing – offensive line play.

Against MSU, the Buckeyes couldn’t move the Spartans off the ball.

The exact opposite happened against Michigan, which was pummeled up front.

It’s hard to believe that an 11-1 record could be considered a major disappointment, but based on the high expectations coming into the season, that will likely be the case for the Buckeyes.

Even though it isn’t sports-related …

If you’re a fan of “Star Wars” or just movie/TV animation in general, make sure to stop in at the Champaign County Arts Council gallery in Urbana today from 5 to 7 p.m. for the open house of “Star Wars: The Exhibit.”

The exhibit features hand-painted color cels and original pencil drawings – from my personal collection – of R2-D2 and C-3PO used in the filming of the 1985-86 ABC-TV series “Star Wars Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO.”

An 11×14 framed original pencil drawing of R2-D2 is being raffled off to benefit the CCAC. The winner will be drawn on Dec. 18, the same day “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opens in theaters.

The Champaign County Arts Council is located at 119 Miami Street.

Trivia Time – Ara Parseghian played for the Cleveland Browns of the All-America Football Conference in 1948-49.

This week’s question – After winning a national football title in 1968, what was Ohio State’s record in 1969?
