It’s tough to be an unbeaten quarterback

Ohio State has a very unusual situation at quarterback.

While most teams would like to have one good QB, OSU has three in J.T. Barrett, Cardale Jones and Braxton Miller.

Earlier this week, Ohio State Coach Urban Meyer announced that he was benching Jones in favor Barrett.

This might be the only time in college football history that an undefeated, national-championship winning QB has been benched, considering Jones’ record is 10-0 as a starter going back to the final three games last season.

But in fact, the Buckeyes’ offense does seem to click better with Barrett at quarterback – especially in the red zone – so Meyer’s decision this week was probably a good one.

How much longer are the Cleveland Browns going to put up with Johnny Manziel?

The backup quarterback was recently involved in a domestic incident with his girlfriend while driving, which was the latest in a string of negative incidents – usually involving alcohol – Manziel has been a part of since joining the Browns.

He’s obviously not the answer as the starter in Cleveland, or he would already have that slot.

Former Steelers’ Coach Bill Cowher said on CBS’s pregame coverage last Sunday that he would cut Manziel, and I couldn’t agree more.

Trivia Time – Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Marvin Jones played collegiately at Cal-Berkeley.

This week’s question – How many touchdown passes and interceptions has quarterback Johnny Manziel thrown since joining the Browns in 2014?
