Street repairs following a water main break fix will limit traffic through a busy Urbana intersection next week.

The intersection at Scioto Street and Jefferson Avenue will be partially closed to repair street damage from the repair of a water main break that snarled traffic most of Wednesday, Sept. 16.

The work will begin at 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, and is expected to last through Tuesday afternoon, said Water Superintendent Robert Munch.

The intersection will not be completely closed. Scioto Street will be down to one lane in each direction, and Jefferson Avenue will be right turn only at the intersection of Scioto Street.

Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes around the intersection until repairs are completed.
