Man accused in double-fatal shooting indicted in Ohio

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A man accused of fatally shooting two men and injuring a woman after entering a southwest Ohio home has been indicted on six counts of aggravated murder.

Montgomery County’s prosecutor says 25-year-old Davion Lyons, of Dayton, also was indicted Friday on charges of felonious assault, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery and weapons violations in the Nov. 29 shooting in Dayton. A message seeking comment was left with Lyons’ attorney.

Authorities say Lyons entered the home of 40-year-old John Dixon on Victor Avenue and shot Dixon, 56-year-old Donald Nesbit and a 25-year-old woman. Dixon died at the home and Nesbit died later at a hospital. The woman sustained serious injuries but survived.

Prosecutor Mat Heck Jr. says Lyons is being held in custody on a $1 million bond. He’ll be arraigned Tuesday.
