WORTHINGTON, Ohio (AP) — A father says he’s been feeling helpless after one daughter was killed and his wife and two other daughters were critically injured when a van driven by his wife was struck by a semitrailer while traveling to a high school water polo tournament.
Jeff Fisher tells The Dispatch (http://bit.ly/2bqh7aU ) it will be a long road emotionally and physically for the Ohio family. Authorities say 45-year-old Vicki Fisher pulled out in front of the truck as she led a three-vehicle caravan to a tournament in Ohio on Aug. 12. The collision killed 19-year-old Courtney Fisher, who helped coach the team.
Vicki Fisher, 17-year-old Betsey Fisher and 14-year-old Melanie Fisher remain hospitalized.
Two other girls on the Worthington Kilbourne High School team hurt in the crash are out of the hospital.
