DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Veterans of the Korean War are gathering for an annual memorial ceremony in southwest Ohio.
The Dayton VA Medical Center and Korean War veterans groups plan a Saturday afternoon remembrance at the Dayton Korean War Veterans Memorial Park.
The memorial has engraved pieces of granite with the names of nearly 8,200 soldiers missing in action.
A large piece of black granite honors the women and nurses who served during the 1950-53 conflict: http://www.kwva.org/memorials/oh/p_mem_oh.htm
The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
