2 shot during fight over Corvette

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Police in Columbus are investigating after they say two men were shot during a scuffle over a Corvette.

Police say it happened around 7:45 Friday night in the 3900 block of Kimberly Parkway. They say the victim told them was about to get out his Corvette in the parking lot outside of his residence when a suspect, identified as Glen Williams, also of Columbus, blocked him from getting out of the car and took his keys.

As Williams was struggling with the victim, police say one of Williams’ associates opened fire.

Williams was shot in the abdomen and taken to the hospital in stable condition. The victim was grazed by a bullet on his left shin and treated at the scene.

Williams is charged with robbery.
