AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say two people are dead after an Akron home was intentionally set on fire.
City fire officials say a man and a woman both died in the blaze, which broke out around 3:30 a.m. Monday near Interstate 76. The bodies were found in an upstairs bathroom.
WEWS-TV reports investigators have put a sign on the home offering a $5,000 dollar reward for information.
The house didn’t have functioning smoke detectors.
The Akron Fire Department tells Cleveland.com the fire began on the porch.
The Summit County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victims as 65-year-old Lindell Lewis and 66-year-old Gloria Jean Hart.
