CHESTER TOWNSHIP, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a northbound 17-year-old driver crossed into the southbound lane of an Ohio highway, crashing into a car driven by a 63-year-old woman who died at the scene.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the crash happened just before 8 a.m. Saturday on Route 314 in Chester Township, about 40 miles north of Columbus in Morrow County. Authorities say they had not determined whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
The woman was identified as Peggy D. Jenkins of Fredericktown.
It was unclear whether the teen was injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
