WBA ex-titleholder arraigned on assault, robbery charges

CINCINNATI (AP) — Former WBA super lightweight champion Adrien Broner has been arraigned on assault and robbery charges in Cincinnati.

Broner appeared in court Tuesday a day after turning himself in to authorities. His attorney declined to comment after the hearing.

Broner was released Monday after posting bond of $100,000.

The allegations are related to a lawsuit filed by a man who says Broner pointed a handgun at him during a January dispute over betting and knocked the man unconscious.
