MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (AP) — A prosecutor says a woman charged in the beating death of her toddler has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, permitting child abuse and endangering children.
The Hamilton-Middletown Journal-News reports that Butler County Prosecutor Mike Gmoser (MOH’-zur) says 23-year-old Rebekah Kinner accepted full responsibility for her conduct with her plea Friday. She could be sentenced to up to 25 years in prison.
Kinner’s attorney didn’t immediately respond to calls.
Kinner’s boyfriend Bradley Young, 26, has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, felony endangering children and involuntary manslaughter in the death of Kinner’s 2-year-old daughter Kinsley. Young’s trial is scheduled for April 25.
Authorities say Kinner’s 2-year-old daughter Kinsley was found beaten and unconscious at the couple’s Madison Township home in December. She died at a hospital the next day.
