Bush will take some family help, but avoid over reliance

HAMPTON, N.H. (AP) — Republican Jeb Bush says while his mother is the star of his latest campaign ad and he expects his brother to join him on the trail, he remains wary of over reliance on his famous family.

At a town hall meeting Thursday night in New Hampshire, a voter carrying a photo of Bush’s father asked him why he wasn’t spending more time talking up the accomplishments of the two former presidents in his family. Bush acknowledged that ignoring them would be “weird.” but said he can’t rely on them either because he needs to win on his own record.

He said his mother will be in an ad that will begin running on Friday, but said he didn’t know where or when he’d campaign with his brother.
