Stewart, Seinfeld, Springsteen headline benefit

NEW YORK (AP) — Jon Stewart is recalling his three-year-old Twitter battle with a man who could be elected president next week.

At a benefit performance Tuesday night at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York, Stewart said he thought the election was done three weeks ago.

He says the only way things can get any weirder is if the election ends in a tie, and “suddenly there is a white Bronco going down the highway” with JonBenet Ramsey going to cast the winning ballot.

Stewart got into a Twitter battle with now-GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump in 2013, with Trump calling Stewart overrated.

Stewart stepped down as host of “The Daily Show” in August 2015 after 16 years.
