PAWS Animal Shelter (cat)

Meet Sophie, such a sweet girl! She is a beautiful, adult white cat, current on her vaccinations and tested negative for feline leukemia. Come in and meet this quiet, loving and beautiful girl at PAWS Animal Shelter.

PAWS Animal Shelter (dog)

I’m Toby, the cutest guy at PAWS! Yeah, I know. I have been here for a while. I came in with some health problems and a great attitude. I am on meds for my achy hip and it is sooooo much better.

Champaign County Animal Welfare League

This week’s Pet of the Week from Champaign County Animal Welfare League (CCAWL) is our beautiful Willow, a lovely Boxer/Hound mix. She is an owner-surrender because Willow is too active and too big for the owner’s lifestyle. Willow is a young girl of just 6 months and weighs 30 pounds. Her previous owners report that she has neither bitten nor shown any aggression of any kind. She is good with other dogs, children and cats.

Willow has been fully vetted including spaying, heart worm testing, and fully vaccinated including rabies, worming, and treated with heart worm and flea prevention. We are also vaccinating all of our dogs with the H3N2 Flu Vaccine to combat the dog flu that has entered the area. Willow is micro-chipped and comes with her 2017 dog license CCAWL is located at 3858 State Route 56, Mechanicsburg, OH, and our phone number is 937-834-5236. We are closed on Sunday and Tuesday and you may call us for our exact hours each day. An application is required in order to adopt and this can be found online or in house. Our adoption fee is $150 cash or check.

We appreciate your donations of paper towels, leashes, harnesses and collars. Also, please come by and pick up a volunteer application if you would enjoy being a part of this caring enterprise.

We are happy to announce our Grand Opening on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We will also have an adoption event until 2 pm that will feature other local rescues. The celebration will be at the 72 acre shelter, 3858 State Route 56, Mechanicsburg, Ohio. Our new, state-of-the-art animal care facility includes new classrooms for dog training, an inside dog park, an outside agility area, a senior center for dogs and outdoor walking trails. Also, learn how to become a member to enjoy these accommodations as well as saving area animals. So come on by and bring the family for a fun filled day.

Barely Used Pets

My name is Jed and I am a 4-year-old small blue tick beagle. I weigh about 20 pounds. I was a stray from another county. They say I am house- and crate-trained. I am also up to date in shots, heartworm free and will soon be neutered. I love to go for walks! I don’t mind cats and I really like kids! Won’t you please come out and see me….maybe they will give you a leash so we can go for a walk or even run around on the playground. I just need a chance to be happy and have a forever family of my own. Please come and spend a little time with me and then maybe, just maybe you can find a place in your heart and your home for me to be part of your family. I promise to be a good boy!

Please visit our website: www.barelyusedpets.com. Also, like us on Facebook at Barely Used Pets Rescue (put spaces between the words).
