Tigers claim OHC boys hoops crown outright

SOUTH CHARLESTON – West Liberty-Salem knocked off Southeastern, 61-53, Friday night to claim the outright OHC boys basketball title.

The Tigers are now 19-3 overall and 14-0 in the OHC while the Trojans drop to 19-3, 12-2.

WL-S plays Dayton Christian next Friday at 6 p.m. at Northmont in the sectional tournament.

Triad boys win

NORTH LEWISBURG – Triad beat Cedarville, 66-53, Friday night in OHC boys basketball.

The Cardinals (15-6, 9-5) play at Lehman Catholic on Tuesday.

Indians fall to Rams

JAMESTOWN – Greeneview defeated Mechanicsburg, 59-56, in overtime Friday night in OHC boys basketball.

The Rams led, 13-9, at the end of the first quarter but Mechanicsburg rallied to take a 25-23 lead at the intermission.

The Indians led, 39-37, after three quarters, and the score was deadlocked, 50-50, at the end of regulation.

For Mechanicsburg (5-15, 3-11), Mack Cushman had 14 points and Bobby Welch added 12 points and 7 rebounds.

Greeneview won the jayvee game, 52-43. Joey Mascadri had 14 points for the Indians.

Mechanicsburg hosts Northwestern on Monday.
