COLUMBUS, Ohio – Graham High School graduate Bo Jordan, a redshirt sophomore on the Ohio State wrestling team, has been selected as the Big Ten Wrestler of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Jordan picked up a pair of major decisions last weekend as the Buckeyes defeated No. 22 Indiana and No. 24 Purdue. Against the Hoosiers, his 14-5 victory over Bryce Martin gave Ohio State a 17-6 lead in the dual and was a catalyst to its 27-9 win.

Two days later at Purdue, Jordan defeated seventh-ranked Chad Welch, 13-0. It was Jordan’s second win this year over a top-10 conference opponent, after previously topping No. 6 Steven Rodriguez of Illinois on Jan. 3. In all, Jordan outscored his two opponents last weekend by a combined score of 27-5.

An Academic All-Big Ten honoree, Big Ten finalist, All-American and third-place finisher at the NCAA Championships last year, Jordan is 12-0 in 2015-16 with 10 wins coming via bonus points (five falls, three tech falls, two major decisions). He leads the team with 49 dual points scored (five falls, one tech fall, two major decisions).

Jordan and the ninth-ranked Buckeyes (9-2, 6-1) are back in action on Friday when they travel to State College, Pa., to face No. 1 Penn State (12-0, 7-0) at 6 p.m. The dual can be seen live on Big Ten Network.
