When the Golden State Warriors won the NBA title Monday night, it marked the end of an era, at least for NBA uniforms.

Beginning next season, NBA teams for the first time will be allowed to sell a corporate advertising logo to be placed on the front of their jerseys.

The NBA will become the first of the four major sports leagues to allow corporate uniform advertising, but other leagues will certainly follow suit in the near future.

With player salaries so high in all sports, leagues are looking for ways to add extra revenue.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will sport a Goodyear logo on their uniforms starting next season, which is expected to net the team at least $10 million per year.

Chris Holtmann seems like a solid choice as Ohio State’s new men’s basketball coach.

In fact, he might even be a bit of Thad Matta clone, which isn’t all bad since the first 10 of Matta’s 13 years with the Buckeyes were excellent.

Trivia Time – Thad Matta began his college basketball head-coaching career at Butler in 2000-01.

This week’s question – Where did Chris Holtmann play college basketball?
