The Urbana University Department of Athletics requests Blue Knight followers and supporters to submit UU Athletic Hall of Fame nominations by June 1.

To be considered for the current year’s induction, a nomination must be received by Urbana University Executive Director of Athletics Larry Cox.

A potential nominee’s consent must be received by the nominator before the process begins. Self-nominations are not permitted, but a nominee may/should assist the nominator with biographical information, suggestions for sources of letters of recommendation, etc.

In addition, nominations must be detailed, including how the candidate meets the required criteria for eligibility and consideration. The nominator must sign the nomination and should view himself/herself as the “captain” of the nomination. Recommendations should be included from those who can help amplify the accomplishments and fabric of the candidate.

The UU Athletic Hall of Fame strives to pay tribute, to give deserved recognition and to enhance school tradition by honoring former letterwinners, coaches and other contributors to the department, who have shown distinctive, unique, or exceptional ability while on campus or since graduation.
