Callicoat leads WL-S past Cedarville, 71-63

CEDARVILLE – WL-S remained unbeaten in the OHC after a 71-63 win over Cedarville Friday night in boys basketball.

The Tigers jumped out to a 26-13 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

For WL-S (14-2, 9-0), Dillon Callicoat had 17 points – including 5 treys – Austin Miller and Kannon Stillings each had 16 points and Ross Kelley added 14.

M’burg boys prevail

MECHANICSBURG – Bobby Welch scored a team-high 17 points as Mechanicsburg held off Northeastern, 48-46, in OHC boys basketball on Friday.

The score was tied, 18-18, at the half and the Indians owned a 35-29 lead after three periods.

For the Indians (4-9, 2-7), Mack Cushman scored 13 points.

Northeastern won the jayvee game, 46-30.

Triad falls to SE

SOUTH CHARLESTON – Southeastern defeated Triad, 61-36, Friday night in OHC boys basketball.

The Cardinals are now 9-5, 4-4.

Graham loses to NW

SPRINGFIELD – Northwestern nipped Graham, 71-70, Friday night in CBC/MRD boys basketball.

The Falcons are now 4-11, 2-5.

WL-S girls win

SPRINGFIELD – WL-S defeated Northeastern, 56-37, in OHC girls basketball.

The Tigers led, 35-15, at the half.

For WL-S (14-2, 9-0), Lily Yoder had 17 points and 5 steals, Jamie Peterson added 14 points and 10 rebounds and Taylor Lauck had 11 points.

WL-S won the jayvee game, 29-6. Peyton Kerns had 10 points for WL-S.

The Tigers play at Springfield Catholic Central on Saturday.

Graham wrestling cancelled

The Cincinnati Moeller at Graham wrestling match scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 23 has been cancelled.
