Mechanicsburg girls knock off Triad, 44-26

MECHANICSBURG – Mikayla Dodane had a game-high 18 points and 5 assists as Mechanicsburg defeated Triad, 44-26, Thursday night in OHC girls basketball.

The Indians led, 17-12, at the end of the first half and 31-21 at the end of the third period.

Sydney Hux had 16 points and 14 rebounds for the Indians (4-10, 3-7) and Jenna Ober had 14 points for Triad (3-10, 1-8).

Graham girls fall

ST. PARIS – Cedarville beat Graham, 56-30, in non-league girls basketball.

For the Falcons, Kari Smith had 12 points, Bethany Horner had 9 and Sarah Henry added 6.

Cedarville won the jayvee game, 27-17. For the Falcons, Madi Vanscoy had 7 points and Brooke Johannes added 6.

Urbana girls lose

SOUTH CHARLESTON – Southeastern downed Urbana, 49-41, in non-league girls basketball on Thursday.

For the Hillclimbers (6-10), Katy Curnutte had 18 points and 11 rebounds and Natalie Seeberg added 13 points and 9 rebounds.

Urbana won the jayvee game, 36-22. Madisyn Horn and Marissa Horn each had 9 points for UHS.

WL-S girls win

WEST LIBERTY – The Tigers beat Bellefontaine, 66-34, in non-league girls basketball on Thursday.

Jamie Peterson had 23 points and 7 rebounds for the Tigers (13-2).

WL-S won the jayvee game, 31-18.
