Urbana boys bowling team falls to Warriors

Urbana fell to Northwestern, 2,814-2706, in CBC boys bowling on Tuesday.

For UHS (8-1), Skyler Reisinger had a 212, Luc Russell a 207-186, Kyle Schrader a 215-186, Kyle Beavers a 204 and Blaine Arms a 222.

Urbana’s girls lost to Stebbins, 2,250 –2,022.

For UHS (2-6), Kayla Evans had a 201 and Brittany Gaver a 170.

The Mechanicburg girls bowling team defeated Southeastern, 2,537-1,787.

For the Indians, Ally Hosier had a 243-216/459 and Katie Bush had a 190-266/456. Lauren Mayberry added a 354 series and Michaela Edwards had a 343. Miranda Keene had a 150 game and Jenna Alspaugh had a 111 game.

WL-S beat Mechanicsburg, 2,560-2,345, in OHC boys bowling.

Scores for the Indians were Caleb Westfall 199, Preston Estep 223, Jake Ripley 149, David McMahill 166 and Ross Parsons 157.

Scores for the Tigers were Gage Rudasill 210, Justin Salyers 210, Brad Burt 227, Reese Shafer 216 and Treven Marchal 226.

Junior high basketball

The WL-S 7th grade gurls beat Catholic Central, 18-8. Sophie Cole and Selena Weaver scored 8 points each for WL-S.

The WL-S 8th graders lost, 18-17. For the Tigers, Bianca Reams had 2 assists and Kambree Cox grabbed 3 steals.

The Triad 7th grade boys lost to South Vienna, 51-18. Drew Campbell had 10 points for Triad.

The Triad 8th graders lost, 39-37. Jordan Simonelli had 12 points and Andrew O’Neil had 11 for Triad.

Graham youth signups

Graham Youth Athletic Association baseball and softball signups will be held from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Jan. 23 at the St. Paris Public Library.
