Yellow Springs tops Graham in girls basketball

Yellow Springs defeated Graham, 64-55, in non-league girls basketball on Wednesday.

For the Falcons, Bethany Horner and Kari Sollenberger each had 14 points, Kayla Tullis had 12 and Brooke Johannes added 9.

M’burg bowlers win

The Mechanicsburg boys bowling team beat Graham, 2,614-2,164.

For the Indians, Caleb Westfall had a 211-236/447, Jake Ripley rolled a 181-183/364, David McMahill added a 190-170/360, Peyton O’Laughlin recorded a 191-146/337 and Preston Estep added a 172-161/333.

Graham did not report stats.

The MHS jayvees lost, 1,768-1,861.

Fairbanks sweeps WL-S

Fairbanks defeated WL-S, 1,743-1,633, in girls bowling on Thursday.

For the Tigers, Erica McCall had a 183, 137 320 series; Sarah Dalton a 130, 143 273 series; Rachel Larson a 131 game; Jillian Kirkham a 115 game; Ashlyn Parks a 109 game; Lauren Hostetler a 99 game; Rylee LeVan an 81 game and Hailee Clifford a 79 game.

The WL-S boys lost, 2,017-1,717.

For the Tigers, Logan Tompkins had a 92, Isaac Riblet a 110, Hunter Smith a 90, Treven Marchal a 205 and Mike Price a 164.

JH basketball

Triad defeated Northeastern in 8th grade girls basketball, 69-15. Baylie Plank had 18 points and Frani LeVan had 16 points.

Mechanicsburg defeated Fairbanks in 8th grade girls basketball, 52-16. Jennifer Wallace had 18 points and Kaylee Warfield had 15 points.

Mechanicsburg defeated Fairbanks in 7th grade girls basketball, 45-20. Lani Wilhelm had 23 points for the Indians.

Graham defeated Urbana, 24-19, in 8th grade girls basketball. Sam Rooney had 16 points for Urbana.

Urbana won the 7th grade game, 24-12.

The WL-S 7th grade girls beat Springfield Catholic Central. For the Tigers, Aubrey Williams had 11 points while Emily Hollar had 10 points and 4 steals.

The WL-S 8th grade girls won, 34-20. For the Tigers, Gracie Estes led the way with 11 points and Selena Weaver recorded a double double with 10 points and 19 rebounds.
