Mechanicsburg seniors Kaleb Romero (quarterback), Dylan Hartman (offensive lineman) and Dylan Hartley (defensive lineman) were each named first-team All-Ohio in Division VI football, it was announced by the Associated Press Wednesday night.
The trio helped lead the Indians to an Ohio Heritage Conference title and to a berth in the Region 24 final this season.
Mechanicsburg finished the season 12-1 overall.
West Liberty-Salem’s Trevor Burden was named special mention All-Ohio in Division VI.
M’burg wins in bowling
Mechanicsburg defeated Southeastern, 2,489-1,611 in girls bowling on Tuesday.
For the Indians, Ally Hosier had a 187-248/435, Miranda Keene had a 191-182/373, Skyler Herron had a 162-176/338, Madison Boggs rolled a 183-148/331, Jenna Alspaugh added a 136 game and Amanda Coulter had a 121 game.
The Mechanicsburg girls bowling team defeated Graham, 2,400-2,204.
Hosier had a 203, 213 for a 416; Keene a 167, 148 for a 315; Herron a 185, 149 for a 334; Boggs a 158, 182 for a 340 and Alspaugh a 107, 176 for a 283
The Mechanicsburg jayvees won, 1,768-1,630.
