Mechanicsburg girls win in bowling

Mechanicsburg defeated Benjamin Logan 2,351-2,050 in non-league girls bowling. Calvary Christian was also part of the match, rolling a 1,732.

Katie Bush rolled a 183-237/420 to lead the Indians. Ally Hosier had a 347, Miranda Keene had a 329, Michaela Edwards rolled a 310 and Jenna Alspaugh recorded a 306.

The boys’ bowling team lost to Benjamin Logan, 2,754-2,668.

Caleb Westfall led the way for the Indians with a 198-242/440 and Ross Parsons had a 246-191/437. Preston Estep recorded a 416, Jake Ripley had a 346, Peyton O’laughlin had a 169 game and Cody Minor had a 163 game.

West Liberty Salem’s girls bowling team beat Riverside, 1,573-1,441

For the Tigers, Lauren Hostetler had a 73, Sarah Dalton an 89, Rachel Larson a 99-100, Taylor Loverde a 99-106, Hailee Clifford a 106-146 and Erica McCall a 122-149 271.

The WL-S boys beat Emmanuel Christian, 2288-2230, and Riverside rolled a 1,743.

For the Tigers, Trevino Marchal had a 147, Micheal Price a 164, Gage Rudasill a 224, Brad Burt a 198. Justin Salyers a 144 and Troyes Hostetler a 105.

Junior high basketball

Urbana’s 8th grade girls team fell to Indian Valley, 51-8.
