Trojans knock off Triad in OHC volleyball

Southeastern defeated Triad, 25-14, 25-13, 25-19, in OHC volleyball on Thursday.

For the Cardinals, Madison Dolby had 14 kills and 14 digs, Bri Eaton had 6 kills, Ali Dixon had 5 kills and Sydney Propst had 14 digs.

Triad competed at the Kenton Invitational on Thursday.

The girls finished 7th as a team. Holly Cole was 6th (21:16), Alea Ferguson 20th (22:41), Summer Doty 22nd (23:03), Sandi Alspaugh 38th (24:08) and Karen Alspaugh 64th (28:33).

Eli O’Brien (16th, 19:20) and Kaiden Forre (40th, 21:32) competed for the boys.

JH cross country

Triad was at Kenton on Thursday. For the girls, Baylie Plank (15th) and Cheyanne Parker (28th) competed.

The boys finished third. Drew Campbell was 10th (13:48), Joe Ferguson 12th (14:09), Zane Robison 20th (14:55), Dylanger Parker 24th (15:12), Jacob Warner 27th (15:59) and Graham Lightle 29th (17:13).

JH football

Triad beat Cedarville, 44-8. JC Alexander led the Cardinal charge, scoring twice (once on a blocked punt return) and throwing 3 touchdown passes. Coleman Hauck caught 2 of Alexander’s scoring strikes, from 13 and 9 yards, and Dylan Hollar caught a 19-yard TD pass. Isiah Leasure rambled in from 25 yards for the Cards’ other score. Leasure also scored 2 of the 4 Cardinal extra-point conversions, with Hayden Simpson and Batai Lease also converting after touchdowns.

Indian Lake beat Graham in 7th grade action, 40-30. Standouts for GJHS were Seth Suttles, Zach Vanscoy and Sam Cox.
