BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Notre Dame College’s Leonardo Paiva is the Mountain East Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week, while Urbana University’s Nathan Jones is the league’s Defensive Player of the Week.

Jones, a senior from Flintshire, Wales, had five saves to help preserve a shutout in UU’s lone game last week. The school’s all-time leader in shutouts now has 18 for his career.

Paiva, a junior from Brazil, continued his torrid scoring pace with five goals last week. He opened the week with a hat trick against Wheeling Jesuit in a 5-0 win for the Falcons. He followed that up with a six-point performance with two goals and two assists as Notre Dame upset top-ranked Charleston, 5-3. Paiva has 12 goals through seven games this year.
