Donna Finkbine had a hole-in-one recently on the par-3 6th hole at Woodland Golf Club.
It was the first hole-in-one in the 15-year history of the Urbana United Methodist Church League.
Northeastern beat Triad, 30-8. For Triad, Hayden Simpson ripped off an 84-yard touchdown run and CJ Alexander ran in the extra point.
For Triad, Coleman Hauck grabbed 3 passes for 32 yards, and Simpson ran for 116 yards on 8 carries.
WL-S lost to Fairbanks, 26-22.
For the Tigers (1-3), Isaiah McGill caught a 30-yard and a 59-yard TD pass from Nick Burden as well as a 2-point conversion. Burden also threw a 2-point conversion to Tanner LeVan.
On defense, Tyler Douthwaite had an interception.
The WL-S 8th graders defeated Greenview 25-18, 18-25, 25-23. For the Tigers (5-3), Selena Weaver put up 6 aces, Kaliegh Wilcox had 5 aces and Emily Scott and Olivia Muirhead each had two aces. Weaver had three kills, Muirhead had two kills and Alexa Stoll, Hannah Jones, Madeline Hutton and Scott each added one kill.
The WL-S 7th graders won, 25-16, 18-25, 25-12. For the Tigers (3-5), Kierra Gilroy had four aces and Braxton Givens, Ali Gault and Kylie Burgell each delivered one.
