Pigskin Picks

We finally picked a UU game correctly, and we were rewarded with perfection in our picks last week.

Yes, we went a cool 6-0 last week, which puts our season record at 40-10.

Not too shabby.

Maybe, just maybe, we can somehow find perfection again this week.

Tonight’s Games

Urbana (2-7) at Graham (2-7) – This hasn’t exactly been a great season for either team.

UHS is usually in the running for a playoff berth and an MRD title, but those hopes went out the window quickly this season for the youthful Hillclimbers.

Both teams have shown some improvement since the season began, but tonight’s matchup looks to be a toss-up.

We’re picking Graham to win in a close one, although it could easily go the other way.

Southeastern (2-7) at Mechanicsburg (9-0) – The Indians have put together a fantastic season, and they could very well host a first-round playoff game next week.

Obviously, we’re going with Mechanicsburg to prevail in this one.

Catholic Central (4-5) at WL-S (7-2) – It’s simple … if the Tigers win this game, they wrap up a playoff berth.

We’re picking WL-S to win.

Northeastern (2-7) at Triad (4-5) – The Cardinals won’t be going to the playoffs again, but they should wrap up a .500 season tonight.

We’re going with Triad to prevail.

Saturday’s Game

Urbana U. (2-6) at UVa.-Wise (0-8) – UU has actually played a lot better on the road than at home this season.

In fact, in last Saturday’s 37-12 loss to visiting Charleston, the Blue Knights scored their first two touchdowns at home this season.

Even though UVa.-Wise is winless and allowing 44 points per game, this game is probably a toss-up.

We’re picking UU to win, but we’re not feeling very confident about it.
